【Clinical Significance】
Myoglobin (MYO) is an optimal early indicator for the diagnosis of acute myocardial infarction (AMI). Cardiac troponin I (cTnI) is a highly specific indicator for diagnosing AMI. Although Creatine Kinase MB isoenzyme (CK-MB) is neither as early as MYO nor as sensitive as cTnI, it holds certain value for the auxiliary diagnosis of early reinfarction after AMI. Clinical practice has proven that any single test result carries the risk of misdiagnosis or missed diagnosis, while combined testing is more beneficial for the early auxiliary diagnosis of AMI.
